A Restoration House legally requires the services of a professional social worker and psychologist to work with the children, the families of the children, and the government. They monitor the children's development, their family situations, and they advise the government in how to rule in the interest of the children.
The house itself requires 2 responsible staff members to be on duty at all times. Their duties involve watching, feeding, and educating the children, and just about anything else that a child would need to be cared for.
With Open Arms is currently looking to purchase a piece of property that would facilitate two restoration houses: one for boys and one for girls.
Our immediate priority would be to start with the Girls House first, as our city has NO PROVISION FOR GIRLS AT RISK right now.
